Is there ever as much joy as playtime?
We romp, we roll we laugh and we giggle
Does not matter night time or in daytime
Run and jump scream and shout laugh and hop spin and wiggle
When we go out on a summer like day
Our thoughts are free our intents are fun
Only a child can know the glee of play
The sheer wonder of faces in the sun.
But there is a time to come in and rest
One more jump and one more run and in
We must accept that Mom know best
First a bath then hair put up in a pin
As we say our prayers at our beside
We thank God for all our playtime outside.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful my friend thanks for your comment;)
ReplyDeleteStrange as it may seem....Your words take me back to another time....childhood, carefree days.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder we are constantly reminded in our adult years that if you wish to be happy....'keep it simple'
Playing back in time?!
